Join the National Ice Skating Association this winter for one of the most looked-forward-to events on the ice sport calendar
The event will see Britain’s best Figure Skaters and Ice Dance Couples take to the ice to compete for the prestigious title of National Champion. As well as promising some of the most exhilarating ice skating moments of 2017, for many athletes the Championships will pave the road to the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang.
Skaters due to compete there include Nicholas Buckland and Penny Coomes. The couple have had support choreographing brand new dance routines with ice skating legend Christopher Dean - they’re due to showcase these at the British Championships. Olympic hopefuls Graham Newbury and Natasha Mackay are also due to perform at the event - both skaters will be looking to defend their titles as National Champion 2016 – 2017.
With the next Winter Olympics around the corner, there’s more on the line than ever for Britain’s most talented ice skaters, with explosive performances to music guaranteed throughout the event. The art and rhythm skaters put into their performances at this level is something that audiences everywhere enjoy, as we have seen from hit TV series such as Dancing on Ice.
As well watching Britain’s best on home turf, the Championships offer the perfect festive outing for families and friends alike.
